Fred

I've seen a few goanna's (Lace Monitor) around Port Stephens.  Fred I spied hanging out in Fingal Bay near some BBQ's at a lookout area.  He was not too shy and I got him to pose for a few photos before he realised I had no food to share and so, wandered off into the trees.  Goanna are quite large and have a beautiful striped pattern with dots and long claws for climbing trees.
